What can I tell you about myself?
I've been drawing since as far as I can remember and if i think hard enough, I can almost certainly confirm my inherent interest in anthropomorphism and creating characters from the things I see around me. I always thought this was just me being weird and until I went to study illustration at the University of Portsmouth, it was in my final major project on creating artificial life that I learned that anthropomorphism was a phenomena which all people experienced in order to classify and understand what we see around us into something familiar- this familiar inherent image is the human face. This fascination has lead me into thinking the way I do and drawing the way I do, and in fact, influences almost every facet of my daily life. Next time you look at the back of a car or the front of a house, see how many faces you can make out of it; it really is fun (or I'm really boring). At the moment, I am working as a freelance designer and Illustrator and constantly trying to satiate my hunger for my expansion of skills in order to be as versatile as I can.
To date, I am familiar with Adobe illustrator (my favourite thing in the world) Photoshop, screen printing, etching, sand blasting and of course, the main life force in any visual field, hand drawing. I tend to only use pens when I draw, this is mainly because I feel that the quality of the line and the freedom of the illustration is sacrificed when you pencil everything out first... And if i did something I really hated, there's always Mr MAC and his creative friends to help me rectify it all.
I am always on the look out for freelance work as well as a full time role and my CV is available to download by clicking here.
Anyway, enough about me or I'll start rambling nonsense!
